Madrid Internship

Madrid’s influence in politics, education, science, entertainment, media, fashion, and arts make
it an important international metropolis, and a major hub in southern Europe. A huge variety of
tapas bars, dance shows, concerts, outdoor parks, soccer matches, ethnic neighborhoods, and
contemporary theater and cinema make it a lively place to live and learn.

Students will partake in full-time internships, 30-40 hours a week in various fields including (but not limited): Business, Marketing and Social Media, AI, Event Planning, NGO's, Finance, Education, Communication, Hospitality and Tourism, Social Services, IT, Education.

Fordham will be partnering with CIEE Madrid to assist students with internship placements. You can see some examples of internship offerings here. (Make sure to filter by Madrid, Spain and Summer). 

In addition to Interning, students will participate in a one-credit internship course. The course will happen virtually.  

In this course, students will discuss and analyze theories and models of work and organization in a cross-cultural context, and to understand the wider significance of their internship experience. To this end, the course will encompass a variety of teaching and learning activities, including lectures and presentations, discussions on current topics, exploration of working styles across industries and countries, examination of personal personality traits and preferences and how these relate to the ultimate job search. 

You will live in housing that is centrally located within Spain, in areas with shops and transportation and within reach of city attractions.  Fordham University will bill participants a Program Fee that will cover the cost of housing during the program. Students are housed in shared student apartments.
