Christian B. Wymbs, GABELLI ‘92

Chris Wymbs is a senior financial executive and corporate director with more than 30 years of leadership experience across public companies, private equity-backed organizations and regulated financial institutions. He currently serves as executive vice president and chief financial officer of CardWorks Financial Group, responsible for finance, treasury, corporate strategy, M&A, and real estate across the enterprise, including Merrick Bank.

Previously, Wymbs held senior leadership roles at AMC Networks, American Express, General Electric, and EY, overseeing global finance organizations, strategic planning, capital allocation, acquisitions, risk management and organizational transformation. His board experience includes CardWorks Servicing, LLC; Carson Smithfield, LLC; and Levity Entertainment Group.

Wymbs earned an MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business and a Bachelor of Science from Fordham University’s Gabelli School of Business. He brings extensive experience in corporate strategy, financial sustainability, enterprise risk, governance, strategic investment and leadership development.

Wymbs and his wife, Stacey, FCRH ’93 reside in Fairfield, CT.
