EMBA International Capstone & Camino Elective
A Transformative Week-long Global Immersion
In the increasingly interconnected global economy, it is critical for rising executives to gain the international perspective and cultural competency that will enable them to make well-informed decisions, manage risk, and lead effectively across borders.
Each 22-month Gabelli School Executive MBA program experience concludes with an International Capstone trip—the culmination of an in-depth, consulting-style business project. Students in the cohort collaborate to choose the country they will focus on, and the business problem their consulting work will solve.
Once their consulting work is done, they travel to the destination they have chosen and present their consulting project work on-site to the company they have selected. In addition, they benefit from cultural events and lectures on how to do business within their country of choice.

Camino de Santiago, Spain Elective Course
In addition to the required International Capstone, Gabelli School Executive MBA students have the option of participating in an elective course in Barcelona, Spain. The course, "Jesuit History and Leadership Culture," provides students with the opportunity to retrace—on foot—part of Saint Ignatius of Loyola’s (Founder of the Jesuits) journey, post his conversion. They trek 20 kilometers per day on the Ignatian Camino for five days. The course deepens each participant's understanding of Jesuit history and also teaches critical lessons in overcoming physical and mental challenges through resilience and adaptive leadership.
