Not at all. The program is appropriate both for students who already have a particular career path in mind and those who are still exploring. You will learn about careers across investment banking, sales and trading, equity research, investment management, wealth management, private markets, corporate finance, risk and analytics, and related areas.
-
You should come ready to learn, participate, and prepare. The program will help you develop your understanding of the industry while introducing you to the technical knowledge and recruiting preparation associated with different finance careers.
-
The London Bootcamp is an intensive career-development experience, not a stand-alone academic course. The program combines finance instruction with career preparation, company visits, alumni and industry engagement, and hands-on recruiting preparation.
-
You will explore finance sectors and career paths, strengthen your resume and LinkedIn profile, practice networking and professional outreach, prepare for behavioral and technical interviews, visit financial organizations, interact with Fordham alumni and industry professionals, and develop an individualized strategy for pursuing internships and early-career opportunities.
-
Students will visit financial organizations for workplace exposure, company introductions, conversations with professionals, recruiting insights, Q&A, and networking. Specific company hosts and speakers will be announced as they are confirmed.
-
The Bootcamp is designed to help you become a stronger and more prepared internship candidate, but participation does not guarantee an internship or employment opportunity. You will learn how finance recruiting works, strengthen your professional materials and interview preparation, identify target employers, build professional relationships, and develop a strategy for pursuing opportunities after the program.
-
You will return from London with practical tools you can continue using throughout your internship search, including a professionally revised resume, enhanced LinkedIn profile, personalized recruiting timeline, target-employer list, interview preparation checklist, networking and outreach materials, industry-specific internship brief, and personalized career action plan.
-
Finance recruiting in many areas begins earlier than students expect. Starting early gives you time to explore different roles, develop relevant skills and technical knowledge, build professional relationships, strengthen your application materials, and prepare for interviews before key recruiting periods begin.
