Barbara Porco, PhD
Dr. Porco is a licensed certified public accountant and certified fraud examiner, and she is certified in financial forensics in New York state. Her professional experience includes work as an audit supervisor and senior tax manager in the financial service group of PricewaterhouseCoopers (C&L Legacy) and as its director of personal financial planning. In addition to her work at Fordham, she is a consultant and educator to an array of domestic and international banks, financial services organizations, hospitals, regulatory agencies and Big Four accounting firms.
She earned her BS, MBA, and PhD here at Fordham.
Haim Mozes, PhD
Professor and Interim Area Chair
Dr. Mozes’ research focuses on the different ways in which earnings data influence stock prices, the performance of alternative investments, and the role of alternative investments in institutional portfolios. He has published articles in dozens of journals, including the Journal of Accounting Literature; the Journal of Business, Finance and Accounting; and Advances in Taxation. His teaching interests include financial statement analysis and, in particular, topics that bridge the accounting and finance disciplines. Dr. Mozes has consulted for earnings analytics firms as well as for hedge funds.
He received his BA from Touro College and his MS and PhD from New York University.
