  • Kelly Ann Ulto is an associate clinical professor of accounting and director of M.S. in Accounting at the Gabelli School of Business. She also is a certified public accountant in the state of New York.

    Professor Ulto joined Fordham in 2000 as an adjunct professor, making the transition to the full-time faculty in 2004. Prior to starting her teaching career, she was a staff and senior audit manager for eight years in the financial-service sector at KPMG, a global accounting firm.

    In parallel to her work at Fordham, Professor Ulto is an external instructor for KPMG, where she delivers nationally run training courses for newly hired and full-time employees in the audit practice. She also has been an external instructor for the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority and has participated in projects with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

    Professor Ulto's research interests are in the field of auditing. Based on that work, she recently completed an audit-related case study to be used in higher-level audit courses. She has received various awards and recognitions for her teaching, including Fordham's Dean's Award for Teaching Excellence in May 2006.

    Professor Ulto is a board member of the Pelham Art Center and the Pelham Education Foundation and an active member of the New York State Society of Public Accountants, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the American Accounting Association. She helps to advise Fordham's undergraduate chapter of Beta Alpha Psi and the graduate chapter of the National Association of Black Accountants.
