Beyond our intensive weekend workshop, CEI provides the guidance and support needed to ensure that you are never alone as you plan your next step for the growth and/or expansion of your community business.
Practical Skills and a Lifelong Network
The goal of the the Community Entrepreneurship Initiative is to develop the entrepreneurial skill sets and the professional network that will serve you and your business over the years to come. As a participant in this innovative program, you'll have the opportunity to build the critical connections and the proficiencies that will allow you to scale your business incrementally.
You'll Receive:
- Six Saturday sessions of hands-on business training, built on Urban Poverty and Business Institute (UPBI) curriculum.
- A Fordham alumni mentor who will work with you for three-four months after the completion of the workshop.
- A team of Fordham Gabelli School of Business students consulting directly on your business who work under the supervision of seasoned Fordham University Gabelli School staff and faculty.
- A cohort of fellow entrepreneurs building alongside you, providing the encouragement, camaraderie, and network to build strong community based businesses.
