  • What are the requirements for submitting final secondary education transcripts/results?

All incoming first-year students are required to present a final official high school transcript with the date of graduation or equivalent national leaving/matriculation examination results granting eligibility for university level study.

We recommend submitting your final results by January 1. If your examination results are postponed or transcripts are delayed, these documents can be received up to the start of classes.

Final transcripts must be submitted directly by your school counselor or other official. The most effective means of submission is electronic upload via the Common Application.

My final semester(s) courses will be graded Pass/Fail. Will this impact my admission decision when reviewing my final transcript?

These changes will not impact our offer of admission, as long as you still meet the requirements for secondary education completion.

  • My IB / A Level / other external exams have been cancelled and I will now receive calculated marks as final grades. How will this impact my admission and enrollment?

Results for students scheduled to complete externally evaluated exams which have been cancelled (IB, A Level, etc.) but who will still receive a calculated mark based on other assessments will satisfy all enrollment requirements.

The admission committee recognizes that final results may be significantly different from previously submitted predicted results due to changes to the evaluation criteria.

These changes will not impact our offer of admission, as long as you still meet the requirements for secondary education completion.

My national leaving/matriculation examinations are cancelled and no marks will be issued. How will this impact my admission and enrollment?

If no final examination marks are available, final secondary school transcripts will be accepted as proof of secondary education completion and eligibility for university level study.

Submission of a final transcript in place of examination results will not impact our offer of admission, as long as you still meet the requirements for secondary education completion.

Final transcripts must be submitted directly by your school counselor or other official. The most effective means of submission is electronic upload via the Common Application.

  • If my university-level exams are cancelled or offered online but I will still receive a final grade (IB, AP, etc.), will I be eligible to receive transfer credit?

IB, AP or other examinations which award a final grade will still be considered for transfer credit toward a Fordham degree.

Official exam results must be submitted for transfer credit evaluation.

  • What is the deadline to submit my deposit and confirm a spot for the Spring 2021 semester?
The candidate reply date is now December 15.

I hoped to visit campus before making my final decision. Is that possible?

All on-campus visitation remains suspended. We encourage you to join us for a virtual event or to take a virtual tour of our Fordham campuses.

  • Has the Spring 2021 semester schedule changed?
Yes, the Spring 2021 semester will now begin on Monday, February 1. Please review more information about the modified academic calendar and available modes of instruction here.

Can I complete my courses online if I am unable to arrive on campus?

Yes, you may choose to enroll full-time in virtual instruction for the Spring 2021 semester. This selection would be made during the course registration process.

Can I defer my admission if I am unable to arrive on campus?
If your plans to attend Fordham in the Spring 2021 semester are disrupted by delayed visa issuance or are otherwise impacted by COVID-19, you can defer your admission to Fordham for one or two semesters (to Fall 2021, beginning in August or Spring 2022, beginning next January). Please first review the guidelines for deferring admission to Fordham.

  • How is Fordham currently managing the care of its campuses and community?
We encourage everyone to read through the details of our Forward Forward plan to learn more about the health and safety protocols in place and the modifications made to our campuses which allowed our community to return to on-campus instruction whenever possible this Fall 2020 semester.

  • Are there other ways to connect with Fordham to help me make a decision?
