About Kevin

Kevin Moncayo currently serves as the Associate Director of the Lincoln Center branch. Both leading his team and supporting students and alumni in regular appointments, Kevin likes to think that he is keeping up to date with everything the office is doing while also being on the ground directly supporting those in need of jobs and internships. He finds it great to go from working with the Internship Coordinator on a Fashion Panel one hour to working with a Gabelli student to help them find their summer internship the next.

However, Kevin’s own background, and the way that he tackles this work, comes from his Mental Health Counseling experience. Although he has learned much of the career development aspects of his work on the job, his understanding of wellness, anxiety, depression, and so on are what he brings to the table. For many of his students, the goal is to find a summer internship, but Kevin believes it isn't just about having the best resume. It is also about being able to support students where they are, being there for them when the search isn't going well, and motivating them to continue no matter the odds.
