Graduate IPED Part-Time Course of Studies

While 80% of our students are full-time, it is possible for those who are interested in the program and work within the New York area to enroll part-time in the program. Frequently international organizations and financial institutions in New York area will sponsor their employees as part-time students. Part-time students can complete the program in two years, including two summers.

First Year of Study
Fall Semester
The first semester of studies will provide you with a rigorous foundation at the graduate level to do economic, political, and quantitative analysis.
- ECON 5011 - Economic Analysis or a more advanced economics core course
- POSC 5500 - Comparative Political Analysis or POSC 5600 Analysis of International Politics
*Students with intermediate level courses in economics may substitute the following more advanced economics core courses:
- ECON 5515 - International Monetary Policy, or
- ECON 5015 - Economic Development Policy, or
- ECON 5500 - Financial Analysis
Spring Semester
Studies global economic relations from both an economics and a political science perspective.
- ECON 5510 - International Economic Policy
- POSC 6640 - Politics of Global Economic Relations
Summer
Begin taking electives in your chosen specialization.
