Accounting

Accounting has been part of the Gabelli School of Business since its founding in 1920. The proud tradition continues today. In an average graduating class, nearly one-fifth of all seniors go on to jobs in the Big Four.

Ways you can pursue accounting at Rose Hill:

  • As a major (four major options - please see below)
  • As a primary concentration
  • As a secondary concentration
  • As a minor (for Fordham College liberal arts majors)

Ways you can pursue accounting at Lincoln Center:

  • As a secondary concentration
  • As preparation for the CPA exam with a primary concentration in Global Finance and Business Economics

The four accounting major choices are:

  • Public Accounting (120-credit, often a lead-in to a dual degree toward CPA licensure)
  • Public Accountancy (150-credit, 5-year program for CPA licensure)
  • Applied Accounting and Finance (an accounting/finance hybrid, can be a lead-in to a dual degree toward CPA licensure)
  • Accounting Information Systems (for the growing field of accounting IT, can be a lead-in to a dual degree toward CPA licensure )
