To build upon what students learn in the classroom, they also hear from guest lecturers who bring cutting edge industry knowledge into the evolving discussion on AI. In addition, a wide range of activities are planned each semester, to ensure students have the opportunity to apply what they are learning in class to real-world scenarios.

March Data Crunch Madness

Every year, the Gabelli School of Business MS in Artificial Intelligence, MS in Business Analytics, and MS in Information Technology in collaboration with Deloitte, host the March Madness Competition, a riveting and action-packed display of the deep analytical expertise students in these programs acquire, as well as their ability to apply them to accurately predict the results of the March Madness tournament. It’s a fun way to demonstrate the skills they have learned and provides invaluable takeaways for interviewing. Past winners of this highly popular competition now hold analytics roles at Amazon, Deloitte, Captivate, EY, Goldman Sachs, J. Crew, PwC, and many other top-tier companies.
