The English as a World Language program is appropriate for those preparing to teach English as a foreign language, but who are not pursuing a state teaching certification.
These programs are designed for certified teachers looking to develop professional competencies in specialized areas. These programs lead to a master’s degree in education and certification in a specialization.
The advanced teacher education programs are for persons who already hold a teaching certificate and seek to qualify for an extension or second certification.
We also offer an accelerated teacher education program for Fordham undergraduates, and you may earn your BA/BS and MST as well as eligibility for teaching certificate endorsement in five years.
